YES! Media • I am production manager for the quarterly print magazine YES!, an independent, nonpartisan, and reader-supported publication focusing on solutions journalism.

The Nib • I proofread for The Nib’s quarterly print magazine, which features 112 pages of nonfiction and political comics.

The Ringer • I was a senior member of the copy team at the sports and culture website The Ringer, assisting with content management, copy editing, and production.

Rethinking Ethnic Studies • As production editor on the anthology Rethinking Ethnic Studies (out February 2019 from Rethinking Schools), I worked with the book’s editors to create a 384-page anthology about the teaching and organizing for Ethnic Studies in K–12 education. I copyedited 52 chapters, coordinated with 80 contributors, collaborated with art director on layout, managed proofreaders, and indexed the work.

Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture • From 2011 to 2015, I was editor in chief of the quarterly print magazine Bitch. I worked with dozens of writers on pieces exploring the intersection of feminism, media, pop culture for fifteen issues. Browse archives here.

Reading, Writing, and Rising Up • I project managed the 2017 second edition of Reading, Writing, and Rising Up by Linda Christensen. This book, published by Rethinking Schools, has been a mainstay of social justice educators for more than ten years. Not only was it an honor to work with Linda on putting out the fully revised and updated version, the book inspires me as a writer and educator as well.

Rethinking Schools • I assisted with web content and project managed the release of the second edition of one of their bestselling books, Reading, Writing, and Rising Up.

Penguin Random House • I freelance copyedited and proofread for Penguin Random House imprints, including Crown Business.

Hachette • I worked with editors at Hachette to copyedit manuscripts from UK publisher Quercus. 

Ooligan Press • I worked in the editing and marketing departments of Ooligan Press, the student-run publishing press at Portland State University. I was lead editor on Rethinking Paper and Ink: The Sustainable Publishing Revolution, which Willamette Week named one of the "Top 10 Local Books of 2011."
